The most effective way to enhance learning in the classroom through P4C is to attend a Level 1 course. This is a two day certificated course which includes a minimum of three full enquiries to model the pedagogy and sessions on:
- Pupil questioning
- Facilitation and teacher questioning
- Active P4C
- Emotional literacy
- Theory and background to P4C
With an additional assignment, the course can be credited with 20 MA points accredited by Oxford Brookes University. A Level 1 course can be followed by Level 2 and 3 both of which also carry 20 MA points for those wishing to deepen their understanding.
Individuals can attend 'open' courses around the country.
Many schools find it beneficial to run a Level 1 course on site for a number of staff (max 25).
